My name is Dmitry Karpovich – Dima Karpa for short. I’ve created this site to show off some of my projects (and to organize the clutter). I love wood/metal working, tinkering, electronics, robotics, music, audio engineering/production, computers and technology and recently completed a 13-week immersive Data Science Program at General Assembly.
Data Science is an incredible field that I fell in love with the moment I heard the words “Machine Learning”. My fascination with computers started when I helped my father build his first PC when I was 12. Since then, I had a propensity for number crunching machines and even made a business out of building them. When I found out about General Assembly’s Data Science Program, I realized that I could learn about how these number crunchers are used to dig through data and make sense of seemingly impossible problems. I am proud of the amount of knowledge and comprehension I have absorbed at General Assembly. From the analysis of data to the deployment of remote servers and containers to the training of machine learning algorithms, General Assembly has provided me with a foundation that I simply could not have obtained on my own.
